The ringing of the bells for weddings at All Saints' Parish Church is of the highest standard possible.

This is a very special ceremony and therefore only experienced ringers are invited to take part.

The bell ringers are in attendance for one and a half hours.

They ring until the bride arrives and, if the wedding begins on time,

this session of ringing lasts for 20 minutes.

Ringing resumes after the ceremony and stops one and a half hours

after the first ringing session began.

e.g. The wedding ceremony is arranged to start at 2:00pm

ringing begins at 1:40pm

the ceremony begins on time and ringing stops at 2:00pm

the ceremony ends at 2:35pm

ringing resumes at 2:35pm until 3:10pm

If the bride is particulary late, the ringers will use their discretion, but the bells will always be rung

for the bride as she leaves the car and walks to the church.

The lateness of the wedding service can, however, curtail or, rarely, extend the length of

the ringing after the ceremony if the ringers have no other commitments and can continue ringing.

If your service includes a nuptual mass, please forewarn us so we can try to make arrangements.

Weekday Weddings

With weekday weddings increasing in number in many churches, it is difficult finding available ringers.

To provide bells for weekday weddings, we seek ringers from other local, and not so local, towers.

Every effort is made to provide ringers for weekday weddings but it is not always possible to guarantee

their availability. The sooner we know that the bells are required the more likely we will be able to ring.
